Reverend Carla
J. Gregory-Beckton is the proud mother of two adult daughters and one
granddaughter. She has been married to Deacon Frank Beckton for six years. She
graduated from Altoona Area High School and received her Nursing License from
Penn State University. She is currently employed
at Altoona Regional Hospital as a Registered Nurse and is working on receiving
her Bachelor of Science degree at Mt. Aloysius College.
Reverend
Gregory-Beckton is an obedient servant of the Lord and received her Ministry
License in September 2011 and was ordained in December 2012. She is one of four very busy associate
ministers at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Altoona, PA. where she has
been a faithful member for over 19 years.
She lovingly serves as Superintendent of Sunday school, servant leader
of the Vacation Bible School as well as teacher for the adult and children
classes; and in addition to this, teaches the adult bible study.
Reverend
Gregory-Beckton is the servant leader for the Women of Excellence Women's
Ministry. She is also a member of the
Pennsylvania Prison Society and volunteers to preach at SCI-Smithfield and SCI-Benner.
Reverend
Gregory-Beckton enjoys cooking and ensures that through all her commitments to
Mt. Zion and the community she creates time for her family and friends.
